I've got XZL on my Defender and I love them off road. I'm also very cheap, so I probably will get 235 or 255/85R16 KM2 when they wear out.

They do fit on 7" wide rims, here is a defender I saw in London with Boost alloys and XZL:

Are your rims really 7" wide? I know that website you bought them from listed them that way, but if so, that would be only the second style of 7" alloy wheels that fit d2/p38 that I've seen. They should be marked like 7J or 8J somewhere on the rim.

You can also look for Goodyear G90's.

Both are great off road but are not good on the tarmac.

There's always this option: https://www.treadwright.com/p-28-235...ler-m-t-e.aspx

Maybe you can get them to use Michelin carcasses and pretend they cost 3 times as much.

The Crawler M/T's any good? How might it faire in winter driving? Seems to be the cloest thing that resembles a military tire and I like the price tag.

The first three pics look like Michelin XL or XCL, which are no longer made, I think. They were replaced by the XZL.

Like Jafir said, you posted a bunch of XCLs which haven't been made in decades, replaced by the superior XZL. They come in a few different sizes but the only one you'd really want is a 7.5x16, it's the only one that'll fit your truck correctly.

XCLs are very cool looking, they were used in earlier camel trophy years, but they would be terrible in New England(just like XZLs are in the winter)

Those Dog Guard M/Ts look very nice and Im interested in getting them with the kedge grip. Sadly they are out of stock. Where did you order them Army? And what size would you recommend for my D2? I dont want massive tires that bulge out of the wheel wells but still large enough to fill the wheel well while providing the aggressive military look Im going for. Currently I have a 2" lift but I will by adding another 1-2 inches in the future. I dont want to trim my front bumper so I need something that wont rub hardly at all.

Thanks again guys. Love how resourceful everyone is on here. If it were not for you guys Id never have been able to identify the new wheels Im using now and if it were not for all of you guys I would not be here right now - a proud D2 owner! Thanks again.

PS: May have to order these tires sooner than later cause I just popped one of my new to me tires. Ran over something that left a tiny hole with a dime size circle around the hole. Whatever it was it did not stay in the tire, just punctured the tire......

Treadwright makes them and sells them. So that would be the best place to get them.

No idea on what's best for a DII, lots of folks seem happy with the 265/75/16 though
