Default Where does the small black plastic vacuum line by over the brake booster go?

Getting my 03 D2 back together, and noticed that there is a small diameter black plastic vacuum (I'm assuming it's a vacuum line) that comes up along the outside of the brake booster then turns and heads over the top of the brake booster towards the drivers side valve cover and is currently just hanging there with nothing (that I can see) to connect to it.

Should this line connect to a module, vacuum solenoid, rubber hose, or......other? Or, should it just be hanging there, open to atmosphere. Thinking if it should be open to atmosphere,.....it should at least be pointing downward like the one on the passenger side of the engine against the firewall.

Can someone pop the hood on their 03 and see if you can help me answer this question?

Thanks in advance,
Brian in Austin

It hugs the firewall and comes forward on the passenger side to plug into the upper intake manifold. Mine has a red ring where it plugs in, and it just pushes in.

I think the line you are referring to is the front axel breather line. It should be clipped near the top of the firewall on the drivers side.

Is it horizontal and open to atmosphere?
