That's where mine is. I think you'll find it a bit inadequate though.

Mine is in the tote with the wheel chocks in the tailgate door (tight fit though).

Do yourself a favor and get a 24" breaker bar from Harbor Freight and a 27mm or 1 1/16" 6 sided socket and keep that in the back. If your lug nuts are damaged you may need a 28mm socket. You will just end up hurting yourself if you try using the factory tire iron.

this is good advice. I was using such a setup today. I used a long metal tube over the breaker bar for extra leverage. It was a part from a trampoline. And it was still almost impossible to budge it. Finally got it after about 20 tries. I don’t recommend an impact gun but in this case I used it a little bit. You can strip off the lug nut cap if you don’t use a 6 point socket.

Wow. Is this a record for a zombie thread?

But as a serious response, I am frequently frustrated trying to remove fasteners that were ridiculously overtightened. Buy an inexpensive torque wrench (e.g. Harbor Freight) and tighten the wheel nuts to 103 lb.-ft. as specified.

Agreed. Particularly the torque wrench.
but skip the imperial socket and just get the correct metric one.
And I always tell mechanics not to use air tools on the lugs, rips the hell out of them.
