It sounds like you do not have power seats. Being an SD I don't think that ius standard for them. All the electrical harnesses from what I have read and seen are standardized such they have all the connectors present even if the equipment is not part of that specific vehicle.
For example, the heated windscreen connectors are under the hood by the windhield even if you don't have a heated windscreen. The rear seat air connectors are behind the headliner even if you don't have rear seat air. That way one standard harnbess works in all vehicles coming down the production line. Much easier to build that way instead of controlling a variey of variations on the assembly line.
Do you have motors mounted on the bottoms of the seats?
The seat switches are a small representation of the seat mounted in cutouts on each side of the console.
Remember the SD is the base version. In lots of ways that is much better than having a lot of extra stuff to break down.

power seat switch mystery
I think you guys might be on to something that these are not the original seats....The leather is still very good, and the seats look a bit different than the ones I have seen in 96 Disco's so they are probably from a later model....yes they do have the seat motors under them...perhaps I can get them working with toggle switches.....thanks for the perspective you bring to this problem....Mark

If they have the motors, then all you need is the switches and of courses the associated wiring, which most likely is present. I may be able to get uou a pair of switches pretty reasonably. I know a guy who has a parts Disco in his back yard, I'll check with him about Seat Switches, his was a 95 SE7. But they may be gone already.
