That looks good. Be sure to get the TD5 180 degree thermo. Buy OE, because the aftermarket thermos fail frequently.

You should also do a coolant flush and refill with green universal coolant.

I was wondering what the coolant of choice is. Why not go with the extended life fancy stuff?

It's a controversial topic, but Dexcool is known to destroy radiators.

If it is the PS, does that mean a new pump or just bearings? What does that set you back?

Most power steering pump issues you hear the sound change when you turn the steering wheel.

My reman ps pump was a little over $100 off ebay.

Hmm, I don't hear a change when turning the wheel. I'll pull the serp asap and spin things by hand and see if anything is weird. Just have a rought work schedule this week.
Thanks all for the input so far. I will update.

I was in for a key programming and the tech said it was the ACE pump "ready to fail". I haven't gotten to the serp belt yet as I'm waiting on a few more parts, so I can't yet confirm

That video scares the pants off me!
I'll eventually need to figure out the groaning in my steering, but if it takes that, I'm out.

The way I bang my knuckles while working on this truck there is no way I would do that. Not for the faint of heart. Seems that with the same amount of effort and less danger just take your fan belt off and spin the pulleys. I had a bad one and on mine visually you could see that it was worn out.
