I might go. Haven't decided if I feel safe driving rovee that far yet or not. I have 88k on the original front driveshaft. If I can get the ujoints in the next day or two I'll rebuild it and prolly go. I live in North GA. Anyone know a part # for ujoints I can buy at napa or advance auto parts or something?

For U-joints: Neapco U-Joint is nice (part # 1-0005), it has the grease zerk nipple in the end cap, making for easy greasing. The Precision 344 u-joints do not have the endcap zerk fitting, but is in the base of the joint (less friendly to grease). If your auto parts store looks up the u-joint by vehicle make and can't find a LR Disco, get a u-joint for a 1993 Volvo 240 (same joint size).
Have fun!

(qty 3) 344 precision u joints (qty 1) 617 precision ball kit or if you have an Advance Auto nearby PDQ 1-0005 (qty 3 @ $14) and Neapco 7-0081NG (qty 1 @ $30), I do not reccomend using Auto Zone as their U-joints are Chinese made and not very good quality. Your rear propshaft takes the same u-joint.

LOL Ed...I keep a folder on my desktop with all the common questions and answers (u-joints, head gaskets, etc.) a LR owner would ever ask...simple "copy and paste". I've used the search function a few times and sometimes it produces results and sometimes it does not.
I'd rather just post the correct answer for newbies...that's how I learned...
