Recent common fault thread has me wondering why the mods haven't stickied more of the common fault threads? Of course we have the high mileage thread, but that still misses many items.

 

That's where I was headed but got 'shot down in flames' by some.

It doesn't affect me personally (mines a TD5) but it appears many common faults seem Rover V8 related and electronic sensors followed by ABS and ABS sensors. Obviously there are some transmission issues but relatively few compared to V8 engines. A list of common faults and how to rectify them would maybe come in useful.
