Why anyone pays this I don’t know makes no sense I’m going to say people that pay this probably never owned one and have no mechanical skills. I could be wrong

Yeah, it’s bizarre.

After two months of searching, I picked up an ‘02 in good condition for $1k. I can install a remanufactured engine, make minor repairs, and add all the accessories I want and I’m still under $15k.

But I guess if you have more money than time, going the pricey auction route makes sense.

I honestly think the days of $2K Disco's are long gone unless they are just parts cars or rusted hulks

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/c...316360933.html This one is actually busted, but on any given day there are 2-3 for sale for about 2-3k

In 10-15 years every car and SUV in the US will be electric. That's why the people are scooping up these cool trucks and cars at crazy prices. Wait ten more years, those around in good shape and well sorted will be $40-50k.

I think the answer is much simpler: $20k for a cool-looking weekend truck is not seen as expensive for many people so they make an impulse purchase.

We typically don't see these folks on forums but they are likely BaT's core buyers. After all, if you are the kind of person spending $100k for a Safari 911 then paying $20k for a Disco is cheap.
