Default Why don’t our Discos have fuel filters?

Just something I’ve been wondering, any reason that our Discos don’t have fuel filters? Any other car I’ve owned, even of the same era, have them. Because of that, is it more important to run fuel system cleaners? Or does it even matter?

DIIs have a fuel filter. It is integral to the fuel pump. Weird, I know, but that's the fact.

I think most cars of that era dont have external fuel filters. The trend was no fuel filter and a returnless supply has less junctions and will vent less fuel vapor over the life of the vehicle
