Default Why on earth are the coils behind the intake manifold?

Really, why? Why aren't they up on top or something? It makes no sense to me. I've got half a mind to move them, but if there's a reason not to then I won't.

Also, while I'm asking questions, is there any reason not to drive down the road with the CDL engaged when in heavy snow? What about during regular conditions if the front driveshaft is removed? I don't forsee needing to remove it, but just in case...

You can drive with the CDL locked as long as there's a solid layer of snow, and not pavement. I've found the cornering is much more predictable.
