Why a Land Rover??

If you use your 4X4 how is supposed to be used, I dont care what you drive. I respect anyone who wheels.
That being said, I prefer Land Rover because of its history and uniqueness. No other make looks like LR. I like the higher quality interiors, and wouldnt trade anything for the exterior looks. IMO discos and LRs in general are the best looking rigs on the street. Jeeps are good vehicles, in fact my best friend drives one and its very good off road. There is not much I can say bad about jeeps. Would I ever drive one? no. I'm way too obsessed with these awesome trucks to drive any other 4X4.
Oh, and nothing can beat the Land Rover community!

The Camel Trophy trucks are 100% stock, they only add expedition gear and safety equipment.

And my personal favorite.

I'll again remind you all that I do love my rover......BUT...
What rover comes from the factory with locking front/rear diffs, a lift, larger tires, etc? Most jeeps do now.....
Spike, everything that I've seen in those videos is great, however I don't think it really helps in the argument that rovers are better than jeeps.
I honestly don't think one is better than the other. Like I said in my previous post, I think it comes down to personal preference.
Maybe I'm just playing devil's advocate here, but I don't think that most people that have owned both would disagree with me.
Like CamiDisco24 said, I respect anyone who goes offroad. I've been wheelin for 10 years now and I've been around every different vehicle crowd from Chevy to Rover. I think most of the hardcore offroad guys belong to the Toyota crowd, from what I've seen.
Regardless, we're all passionate about our vehicles and thats what counts. They all have their problems, whether it be head gaskets, weak axles, oil pumps, whatever. I enjoy a vehicle for what it is as well as the potential it has. Keep an open mind, you might find yourself in a vehicle that you never thought you'd end up in one day.
I was a hardcore jeep guy and never saw myself in a Rover. Now I own one and enjoy it.
