Default Will 265/60r18's Fit under my Disco II

I have 255/55r18's now and I want to go a bit larger. The 255/55's calculate to 29 inches on a online tire calculator but they actually measure to about 27 inches. The 265/60's calculate to 30.5 inches on a online calculator. Will the 265/65's fit ? I know they might rub a bit with articulation and tight cornering. Anyone that has this tire size please let me know about your experience. Thanks!

I have run them in the past with no problems. I assume you're running the stock 255/55 18s. The steering stops are a little longer on the discos with factory 18s so I didn't have any rubbing, or any other issues with them. Can't speak for that size on one that had factory 16s though. I'm currently running 255/60 18s. They're in between the 255/55s and the 265/60s size wise and tires in that size were considerably cheaper than the 255/55 and 265/60s so something to consider.

I wouldn't even though people say you can, You can and will cut up your tires and do some metal damage at the rear wheel wells. If you are set on bigger tires, do a small lift first for a better ride and no tire issues.

At your mileage it would definitely be worthwhile to throw a new suspension set up under there. Even on a 2-3" you could stuff 33" tires if you wanted.

i will give the 255/60's a look. I think the difference in height between those and 265/60's is only about half an inch.
