Looking at a 2003 SE with 100K. All service records, one owner car.........runs perfect just serviced. Will LR cover the oil pump failure and or engine replacement? OR is not a recall just a TSB that I would have to pay out of pocket for if not already addressed?

 

Just a TSB. search on here to find a range of VIN's to see if it in the faulty range. If it is, and the motor has not been replaced, stay away!!

 

X2. However...with 100k on the clock it is probally ok. Most of the oil pumps fail in the 40-50k range.
Since it is a one owner, ask them if they have had any problems with the oil pump, it is the original engine. You said that they have all the service records. Ask to take a look.

No they will NOT cover a engine replacement. Unless you are under factory warrenty and the original owner.
