Default will this tire fit,,,

a 275-65 18?

will that tire fit in the wheel well if the stock springs still are not sagging and with a set of OME spring/shocks?

I Know these aren't 18's but my 265/75/16's rub at full tuck or turn with the OME 2" HD springs. The overall volume in the wheel well is probably close to your 18's. On the pavement they're all good.

With a good lift, like OME 779 front springs and 762 rears along with their HD shocks you should be pretty close. What little bit that may be off will be easy to fix.

I'm with Mike on this one. This is my 5'th lifted 4X4. Mine was sitting pretty close to another stock one on my street when I bought it. If I didn't put in the OME HD kit just from past trucks I would have just gone with a good A/T tire in the stock size. If they start bumping and rubbing in the wheel wells you'll spend a month convincing yourself it's ok and then you'll hate the tires for the rest of their time on the truck.

i will be doing a lift for certain at some point,,, but for now i really really need to solve my traction issues for the winter.

having a 16" wheel for crawling etc is not needed as the largest rocks i encounter are the size of a beer keg. my biggest issue is that i use my rig off road in the winter time A LOT and the snow and slush when coupled to melted snow and mud are my biggest traction issues.

so that is what i need to solve in the mean time. i might as well use the 18" HSE style wheels i have because i have already tore them to high hell with the off roading i have already done. so selling them to pay for different wheels is not gonna be easy.

the overall tire DIA for these tires is 32.2" i believe so i should be good as far as drivetrain angle etc.

and the price on the tires is fair and rated very well for mud and snow use

Then no doubt pound the 18"s into the ground. Since the factory trucks are coming out with larger stock tire sizes you have a few more choices for M&S rated tires. I had a buddy show up at my old coffee shop with chains on the front of his 04 in a huge snow storm. Same problem as you didn't have a decent M&S 18"s. If you're going to do the OME in the future I'd go with the beer can rock,Mud&Snow traction 32"s and just deal with a little rubbing in the short term. Just make sure it's just rubbing the plastic in the wheel wells my over size at stock ride height Terra Grapplers were rubbing right through my FRONT BRAKE LINES on my 7.3L Powerstroke 4X4 F250!!

Im a first time disco owner and I just recently purchased the 3" terrafirma lift for my d2 and i've done a lot of research and am aware of all the mods I must do after lifting 3" or more. But I've been stuck trying to figure out tire sizes id like to put 285/75r16 on my rig but have a feeling it might be too big. What would be the next size I could consider if the tire size I listed wont fit?

If anyone could help me out it be much appreciated.

I run 275-65-18 BFG TKO's and they don't rub, but that's on a 2 inch lift. They do fill the wheel well pretty good but I think next time I'll kick it up to 285/65/18. My stock suspension was starting to sag, I would say that tire would be pretty darn close to rubbing on stock. It would probably be the very biggest you could run on stock. You can check my pics in my sig if it gives you a better idea.

I've got a buddy with a 3" lift and he's got 305/70 R16. He's got steelies though, with 4.5" of backspacing so they stick out a bit further than they would on the stock wheels. Here's what it looks like...
