Our older son goes to UNCW and he took Redrover back with him for the summer to drive on the beach at Fort Fisher.

I'd like to hear about other places near Wilmington to drive off-road. Looks like the Croatan National Forest offers nothing. I'm planning to go see him July 4th weekend and I'm not finding anything near Wilmy. Thanks.

 

There is Uwharrie National Forest is a great destination its about 2-2.5 hours from Wilmington.

this is where the local Rover club does the Uwharrie Safari once or twice a year. Maybe look up the club and go from there.

 

Yeah, thanks. My son and I explored the Uwharrie NF trails last weekend. I was looking for something much closer to Wilmington.
