i have a 96 discovery and the passenger window will not go up or down and wont stay up. the motor works and the window is still in the arm that makes it go up and down but at the bottom of the panel i found a half moon shaped piece with gears on it and i do not know what to do. any help would be great, i cannot downlod rave, wont let me

 

That half moon piece is part of your window regulator.
You need a new window regulator, which is the whole thing, motor and all.
