Reasonably mechanical newbiereplacing regulator right front. Will buy part from Roverland. Anyone have step by step instructions?Does this require calibration?Any special tooling?
Worried about correct microswitch placement, if applicable.

Window went down quietly, never went up - motor still runs.
Irecently replaced the lock actuator without trouble (without pulling out window - just removed bolts top and bottom rear window guide, soI already know my way around thebasics.Thanks in advance.

 

If you can replace the lock actuator then you can replace the window regulator.
There is a write up on it, it was a couple of days ago. A guy fixed his regulator with parts from the HomeDepot for like $5.
Just start going back page by page and read the title of the posts until you find it.

If you have the RAVE cd, you will finddwgs. and step-by-step R&R instructions.

 

Remove door panel. Wind window down to access bolts holding glass to regulator. Unbolt regulator. Pull glass to top of door and use tape or suction cups to hold up. Disconnect motor connector. remove the 6-8mm bolts holding regulator to door. Remove regulator and motor assembly. Reverse removal procedure. No calibration required.

 

Thanks Tacomatech & all - that's what I needed. I'm going to go with a new unit as I can get it for around $175.I need to get that Rave CD for the next few so that I don't contribute to the clutter already here.

 

Same basic procedure for all other doors.
