Have a 1996 Disco needing a new window regulator on the rear driver's side....I am not mechanically blessed and normally rely on dealers, service centers........need to start DIY stuff with my rover.......any willing suggestions to help me out with this project....Is there a way to pull out the door cover without stripping off the holders/pins....sorry if i sound like i dont know what im saying/doing......

i replaced a regulator without a work manual or diagrams in the dark with a headlamp flashlight.

you need basic tools and just work slow and one thing at a time. it will take you (with little skill) about 2 hours or so. the door is not put together with any magic or mystery. just some screws and a few wires that plug into the speakers. then a thick plastic film to keep water from the inner workings. peel that away to be reused and you can see the regulator and window assy.

work that apart and reverse the process.


easy peesy
