Thanks.. very helpful; the Rave manual does stipulate removal of the SRS and wheel, but apparently not necessary.

Did this fix on my 99 D II today. I have been wanting to do it for months but it's been so damn cold this winter.

Cool Worked Great!

Super easy to follow directions. Used a wire brush and found dielectric grease at Pep Boys, no problem. Worked like a charm!

Even if the little white pieces fall out, it's pretty obvious how they fit back in. If you're having trouble with the wipers, don't hesitate to try this fix.

I'm trying this tomorrow to see what happens. I just started getting this problem and just thought I needed a new switch. Thanks for the writeup.

Funny, I just fixed my wiper system yesterday and this thread pops back up. I tried to fix it a year ago per this threads instructions, but it never worked well. Still very temperamental.

I ended up ordering a used wiper stalk from Paul Grant. Put it on yesterday and wipers work great again. That along with the D1 wiper arm conversion which push harder against the windshield means I can finally see in the rain.

Can anyone help me. I have a 95 disco and only one of wipers is working. I just finished taking my arm apart and cleaning all the grease off but still only one of my wipers works. Can anyone help me and give me some insight. should i just buy a new wiper arm and hope this helps the problem?

There is a linkage under the windshield cowl.

Either your wiper arm is stripped and the post is moving but the arm is not, or...

The linkage has become disconnected or broken which is under the cowl.
