Default Wipers stopped workin...2003 Disco

Works if I hold down or use windshield wash. Nothing when I rotate the end of the arm.
Is it likely in the rotating end? Or does the arm need to be replaced? I can probably get the end piece off and adjust the terminals or whatever...

I found a good write up by
CANAMDiscovery

Will try his repair tomorrow,

Worth a try.
There is nothing in the rotating arm... all the messed up stuff will be in the base of the unit. Turn the arm to desired setting and it then slides the contacts in the base (which, in my case were all gummed up)
Firm but gentle pull on the arm as you lightly pry the unit from the steering column, will be the trickiest part.

BTW...
if you run into issues bigger than this fix and need a working arm, I bought one before I repaired mine...good luck.

Cheers, hopefully I won't need your new/un-used one.
Will try in AM to fix.

I've done that repair on other cars in the past, and as of yesterday, I've now got the issue on this one. It's been VERY cold lately. That grease dies over time. Thank you for the removal tips though, will save me the fear of breaking it getting it out as each of these are different.
