Default Woot! Picked up a new Disco!

Still have not figured out the issue with the old Disco, but will. In the meantime, I picked up another one. I've been searching for a replacement for a while, just didn't find the right one. Now I did!
04 HSE with 77K. Nice mileage and nice condition! Head gaskets done two years ago. Coolant leak at the throttle body heater, but all else looks solid. No codes, temps lower than my 00 (even with the lower temp thermo in the 00).
Will get down to doing the fluids and such over the next month like I did in the other. I've gotta decide if I like the Hurricane wheels or the HSE wheels better. I kind of lean towards the HSE as you don't see them much, but my tires are better in the others.
Well, here are the girls:

Snafu, nice seeing you're still around......we gotta get up and do a tech day... Get a couple Jersey guys together..

And those HSE wheels look nice. Actually picked up a set of 05 range rover wheels to replicate that look..

I'm not far from Jersey! Just the other side of Philly, used to live in Jersey!

Yep. Would love to do a GTG with any of the local folks! And yeah, I think I dig the HSE wheels. Just wish the better tires were on them! If I stick with them I will need new rubber before next winter, where the other tires on the hurricane wheels are a bit taller, are AT/S and only have like 20k on them. Good shape too.
I also have to figure out how to swap the ladder. Looks like you have to drill in to install which stinks, so need to find exacts. Also, I don't think I can swap my newer driveshaft either, but have to look closer into that. I think I'm going to just sell the other for parts, but would want some of the newer/nicer stuff I out in over. I don't think much from under the hood will swap though.

If you are, may I call dibs on the front brush guard..

The driveshaft doesnt swap over, if I remember correctly. Lemme know when you want to do a G2G.
The HSE wheels are 18's right? If you want to take a drive and swap tires, I have access to a tire machine and balancer. Its in Manhattan though......

Nice looking truck. I would keep the HSE wheels as well, they look less dated IMO

I do have a spare brush guard too. Neither are in great shape though...rust has not treated them great! And thanks, but just not worth it to swap the tires I don't think. Would be way too much effort!
