Would putting on a Raised Air Intake make a 2003 Discovery Run in deeper water?

On no lift and stock 16's, I have been up to up to my headlights on first entry. The bow wave held and when I looked out the window, the water was right below my door handle. The only problem I had was water got to my oil pressure sensor. Besides that, I was fine.
That being said, see the following disclaimer.
Nothing on my truck leaked prior to my wading that depth. All fluids were changed after. Vehicle was throughly washed after and most electrical connector checked. They were fine. Your results may vary.

X1, 20" or 50cms but without creating a huge bow wave otherwise you'll swamp. Low gear and keep the throttle open at all costs, i.e. don't throttle back or you'll drown the engine via the exhaust so take it slowly. Don't rush into the water with a 'red hot' engine, exhaust and transmission otherwise you may crack something with the sudden cooling shock effect.
