I know, now that I look at it, it is my most long winded reply.
No more this week, short ones only.

Hey Mike - the longer the better - you're the expert here - one of 'em at least!

Glad Mike did that. I am sure his fingers will be sore now. I have a big problem with Seafoam in the crankcase. Just use a can of flush just befor ethe oilchange.

Mike, I know your fingers are all worn out but could you also add the procedure for cleaning the idle contol unit? After all you did mention it... Thanks, I suggested this write-up for a sticky!

Not to you Steve, but just in general...

I did the seafoam thing according to Mike's instructions yesterday on my old '99 Rodeo for the first time in 132K miles. It smoked like a train, but after driving it another 70 miles, I can detect no difference in performance. Mind you it was running fineas it was (except a slightly rough idle), but after all the hoopla from so many folks, I kinda expected at least some discernable results. Still idles the same and no more power than before. Is anyone really getting all the results that folks are claiming?

Perhaps maintaining a car properly as I have with this one for it's entire life is what makes the difference. If a car gets to the point where seafoam provides a magic fix, maybe there are other factors at work.

Dave

I just helped a guy do a 60K today, and part of it was a induction cleaning, he was sure pleased with the difference it made in his truck.
By the way, what the induction cleaning does is not based on the maintance of your truck but cleaning out the carbon and other build ups that you get from a really bad fuels.
Dave, come down and let me do an induction on your truck for you sometime.
