Default Xfer case shifter decal

Maybe i'm not using the correct combination of words, but I can't find any reference to anyone replacing the shifting instructions plackard/decal on the center console. The decal is missing from mine.

I looked on a couple vendor sites and couldn't find it either. I'm getting the truck ready for my daughter's 16th birthday in a little over a month.

Has anyone sourced this decal from anywhere other than a dealership? My closest dealer is in Cary, NC... about a 3 hr RT.

Thanks.

Call the dealer and have them mail it to you.
Otherwise call AtlanticBritish or RoversNorth.

Heh... no, she doesn't know. I have it parked over at a neighbor's house. I don't have too much $$ in it yet, and she likes the Discos more than she likes the 4Runners several of her friends have.

She's not one to fall in line with the sheep so the Discovery is a good fit... as long as dad is handy with a wrench. She is quite high maintenance though, so no, sorry... I can't afford to adopt. lol

i had read a thread on this sticker before and it seemed like there was a lot of trouble in finding the appropriate one... u could always find an image of the one you are looking for and have one made if all else fails...

Yep. That's probably the easiest. Could make it Brass and engraved with an personalised insignia that say's 'Pumpkins Disco' . It would likely be about the same cost that a LR stealership would charge if you could even find one that could source it. Here is a scan of one if ya wanted to have one made. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...e/100_2782.jpg

I bet the dealer sells it for under $10, place it in a envelope and put a $.42 stamp on it and BAM!, its in your mailbox before you know it.

The sticker in the photo is not available as a seperate part, I tried to get that one when I fitted a CDL, the part number simply does not exist!!..........annoying really.

This is the "original" label for a D2, part number AWR6472

The next best thing is this updated one, if you have a CDL part Number BAC001150

If its for a series 1 Discovery, then the part number for an Auto is BTR9547
