Default Y-Pipe recommendations

Hi everyone.
I have to get a new y-pipe and I was wondering what everyone else has gotten. I have seen magnaflow, OEM, and borla but borla seems like they don’t make it anymore. I live in Virginia so no emission testing but I still need cats. Any help would be nice. All so in taking out the old y-pipe I snapped both the bolts holding the y-pipe to the muffler. How can I get those out?

thanks
tyler

just measure it and find one that fits on net...Summit racing or jegs has many exhaust parts. you will have to weld the new one in....OR: this and the bolts = easy repairs for exhaust shop....

PS: don't weld the 'Y' in place UNTIL you have the compression fitting aligned correctly...

OR you can purchase a whole new Y pipe w / cats from many sources...but obviously more $$

I don't recommend the Magnaflow model. The exit was off by a couple of inches from the rest of the exhaust system on mine. The welding was disappointing, too.

I have had x2 magnaflow Y pipes. They are 2 piece which is nice for install...BUT, one fit perfectly...lasted like 9 months until the cat elements started rattling. This was out of warranty per summit racing (by 3 mos!!)

... I bought another, and the outlet was pointed down by about 1" at the compression fitting...had to adjust....but the cats have been solid for over a year.....

Not impressed for price......

And since the cast header runners and two into one junction of Y pipe are tight anyway...no big flow gains with 'high flow cats.'

I get great mileage and power with stock 17 yr old cats and stock resonator and muffler on my stock D2....

I did the Magnaflow about six months ago. I cannot recommend it more highly. The two piece Y makes it so much easier to install. It fit exactly where my old system was, bolted perfectly in place. The quality was spot on. The sound is fanastic. And my Rover went right through emissions inspection here in NJ for the first time in years.
