Default Yet another abs issue

Hello all, new here but have been lurking for some time. I have a love hate relationship with my 03 Disco II and thought I solved an abs issue, but just wanted to run it by you guys.

75000 miles, had the amigos pop up. Pulled the modulator and replaced the shuttle valve switch thing with the kit from Atlantic British. Lights went away and everything was fine.

75560 miles, replace the rear differential and outer hubs on the rear axle, which included new abs sensors. Everything went together nice and in addition, I installed a set of new rear pads (aftermarket).

Road trip 76000 miles with no problems, noises, leaks, etc. Then on a hilly section my rear brakes started squeaking a bit, then I got the amigos back in addition to the red "Brake" light.

I pulled apart the rears and cleaned the sensors, hubs, brakes, and discs well. No signs of any contamination.

Cannot for the life of me get these damn brake lights to go out. I am installing a new ABS computer tonight.

If no luck, did I not bleed the modulator correctly? Air pockets trapped in the modulator? Or is the aftermarket pads causing a frequency problem that upsets the rear sensors?

Any ideas before I have to give my next mortgage payment to the Land Rover dealer for the codes?

Thanks in advance. Great forum.

I'd either rent (some board members rent them for a deposit plus $20 or so) or outright buy an ABS Amigo ($200) before you start throwing too much money at it. It'll tell you the codes causing your Amigos.

Got the ABS amigo tool in the mail. It works great. Downloaded the codes, one was rear sensor failure which has since been repaired, and the other read 114: Shuttle Valve electric failure. Will the wiring work around featured in the sticky clear this? I don't have an ohm meter to test the contacts yet but am guessing that the electric failure is either the plug wire inside the modulator / solder connections, or the ground wire to the left fender.

BTW thanks Mike for the call.
