Default Yet another driveshaft question!!

So, if the front and rear driveshaft are the same, If I find a salvaged rear driveshaft off of an 03 Disco, can i throw that on the front, those, from what I hear are greasable!! Is it the same, will it fit??

Thanks for the quick reply!!

Nevermind, think i answered my own question, the opposite end of the u-joint wont bolt up because the bolt patterns are different right!!

great!

I'm guessing if it were that easy, everyone would have already suggested that by now huh!! too bad... although, they do use the same u-joints.. enough rambling from me.. on to the rebuild, I will be tacking this job this coming weekend!! wish me luck fellas!!

They are no where near alike. The rear should be fine but you either need to have your front rebuilt with all new u-joints with grease fittings as well as a new centering ball, or buy a good Tom Woods front shaft.

The cardan u-joints are the same PN, but that's it.
