I just put some cosmetic damage to the front of my 2000 discovery.
Should I spend my time and money fixing it up to sell? or do you think i could find someone who would by it as is for a cheap price? or could i be better of parting it out? I've decided that either way, I want to get rid of it. :/
It doesnt have a salvaged title and the accident had no need to go through my insurance. It is super clean everywhere else and the interior is spotless. Tan Leather seats and brand new floor mats
. All new hose lines were installed less than 6 months ago.
Im gonna include pictures. Please tell me what you think.

If you ran it through your insurance they would more than likely total the Disco. More than cosmetic damage. Your looking at a new radiator support, left apron, left fender, hood, grille, headlights, bumper assembly and whatever else was damaged inside the engine compartment. Not a DIY repair. Let insurance fix it then sell it!
146k miles. I hit a tree and unfortunately i only have liability. The only bad damage was a crack in the coolant case. Nothing in the engine compartment was hurt.
sorry to hear about the bad news. If it was mine i would shop around for used body parts, find a brush guard bumper and enjoy it. Take if off-road every weekend.
p.s. you want to sell your roof rack cross pieces?

Sorry to hear about your truck.
Parting it out will take years.
As a person who is very interested in personal finance and is actually going to start college soon in this field this is exactly why you carry full coverage insurance on
1-ANY car that is your daily driver and that you rely on every single day.
2-any car that is worth more than the liquid cash you have sitting in your bank account.
If the truck was worth $1500 and you had $2000 sitting in the bank doing nothing but looking pretty then you could just buy a new $1500 car and sell or part that one out.
If it is your only car then having full coverage you turn it over to the insurance company and rent a car (most auto body shops have free loaners) and get it fixed.

It looks like a nice LR, like the color. If the engine and the transmission are in a good shape, I would fix it.
It will a heck of an experience finding the external sheet metal and stretching the internal structure back to shape.
Personally, I would be concerned about two things: Is the left frame horn damaged? Is the front axle pushed back?
