My hybrid is fully charged but when selecting EV it immediately starts the petrol engine and will not drive electric

 

I have just had that problem and am now waiting for JLR roadside assist.

Mine will not even drive in petrol and it will not allow me to select D or R.

Did JLR resolve your issue?

 

I had JLR out three times before they would take back to garage. In garage for 2 days where they reloaded software. Drove it home, plugged in overnight. This morning remote key wouldn't even open the vehicle. JLR Assist on way to me now for fourth time in less than two weeks.

 

Also having same issue. I have discovered the car start battery is not charging at the same time as the Drive Battery is being charged. So when you put the car into drive the engine starts in order to charge the Car start battery even though your drive battery is full.. If you check voltage of Car batt at test posts next to fuses you will probable find voltage is down. Understand this is an issue with the Battery Charge Control Module (BCCM)

 

Well I collected the car today after 5 days in garage. Checked the service sheet and they did exactly the SMAE AS LAST TIME IT WAS IN THE WEEK BEFORE. NO MENTION OF A BCCM ISSUE.

Anyway I've run down the high voltage hybrid battery on way home and plugged in to charge like last time. We will find out in morning if garage has resolved the issue, but being a glass half empty sort of bloke I suspect not. Just repeating what you did to fix error again, which didn't fix the error before, is not exactly a great engineering policy.
