I just purchased a 2020 Discovery Sport Se that was a demo/courtesy vehicle . I have been trying to activate Incontrol with no luck. I have created an account and enter Vin it brings up my model and shows the incontrol is available. When I go to add vehicle it starts the 60 minute timer and asks me to push the Roadside Assistance button for 10 seconds. When I start the vehicle and push and hold the button nothing happens . No amber light, no flashing. Any ideas what can be causing this to not activate. I called the service department but the advisor was not very knowledgeable.

 

I had weeks of trying to get my incontrol activated, followed the instructions in full, the customer services tried redoing it their end a couple of times but nothing. Then i noticed a comment about something like "mobile data" or "wifi hotspot" should be turned off during the bit where you need to hold the Roadside Assistance button down. I checked the vehicle setting and wifi hotspot was on so i turned it off, tried again and it worked immediately. Hope that helps
