Next Service due mileage error Oil??
I have a Land Rover Discovery sport 2015 fitted with the 2.0 Ltr Diesel engine. It had a full LR 84,000 service completed @ 68,216 miles in May 2022, I was told because of an oil dilution problem!!!! (Note the previous owner called the 69,000 service early at 57,000 miles).
As of today 5th Sept 2022 I have completed 70,155 miles, so that is 1,943 miles since service, which should mean the next service is due in circe 18,061 miles. However, according to the Land Rover remote app (appears to be the only way I can read next service due info) the next service due in 13,517 miles (I lost near 1,000 miles on a 200 mile trip) Therefore I have a next service due error circa 4,544 miles.
I contacted Land Rover and managed to get a case opened they have said their technical teams have looked into my concerns and stated that the vehicle will need to be looked in to by a retailer as it is running very old software and their is an issue with the module.
So now booked in for next week, but my question is has anyone else had this problem if so how was it resolved?
This is my first Land Rover but to be honest with this and DPF issue, don't ask... (+ no dash warnings) I am very unhappy with the reliability and build quality, given also that when I dropped the spare wheel out of 8 heat guard fittings only 2 were fitted.
Reaching out to en expert to advise please
Thanks Dave
