I want to hard wire a radar detector in my wife's 2015 Discovery Sport. I did the same thing in my Cadillac sedan by pulling power from the rear view mirror, and the cover to access the wiring harness was rather easy to remove. I was trying to figure out how to remove the cover from behind the rear view in the Disco last night, but the plastic cover didn't want to come off, and I certainly didn't want to break it.

Is there a trick to removing the cover from just behind the mirror?
