Required maintenance
Hey everyone
I have a 2016 Discovery Sport that I got a year ago as certified pre-owned so it has warranty on it. Since I got it I did 3 oil changes and 4th year warranty ($360). Now I am getting quotes for 5th year warranty any where from $460 to $890 (comparing dealerships as I am moving to another city).
So while talking with one of the dealerships he was going over what I did in the 4th year and he tells me "you dont need filter as they are good for a couple of year". Then her quoted me only on coolant and break fluid and says those are good for a few years. He also said LR doesn't give them a set scheduled and every dealership makes their own package which honestly sounds like a really good way to just get owners to do whats not needed and spend more than necessary, Which feels about right with my LR experience thus far.
Owners manual has no information. Big empty session under "maintenance".
So my question is, doesn't anyone actually knows what do we need to to for maintenance in regards to warranty compliance? Do you know how much each of those filters really last? How often do we really need to do any of these maintenance?
Even oil change I feel like I am doing more than what I actually need.

The car will require 1 oil change a year ( unless you drive a lot) with Land Rover approved oil and a new oil filter. Coolant is good for 15years , brake fluid is recommended every second year, Air filter is every second year (depends on how far you drive and how clean your air is. Cabin filter also every second year. This is for a gas/petrol engine Diesels need more oil changes due to oil dilution.
