Seeking Advice on Purchasing a Used Land Rover Discovery Sport
Hey everyone,
I'm excited to potentially join the Land Rover community and have my eyes set on a used Land Rover Discovery Sport. As someone new to the Land Rover world but a keen Anglophile, I've done my fair share of research, reading numerous reviews, and watching countless videos about this model. However, I would greatly appreciate the advice and insights from the experienced members of this forum before making the leap.
I have a particular car in mind—a 2016 model, Land Rover Discovery Sport 2.0 TD4 SE, automatic transmission, with 150 hp and 201,000 km on the clock. It's listed at €11,500 by a private seller. The seller assures me that the car runs smoothly and has no issues. They've also mentioned that the distribution chain has been changed recently and has less than 10,000 km on it.
Given my limited/no experience with Land Rovers, I want to make sure I'm making an informed decision. Could you please offer some guidance on what I should be looking out for and what questions I should ask the seller during the inspection or before finalizing the purchase?
Any advice, tips, or cautionary tales from those who have owned or worked on similar models would be immensely helpful.
Thank you all in advance for your valuable input!
Warm regards,
TinTin
