Has anyone had any issues with the Start/Stop while driving? On several occasions, for no apparent reason, while I am driving my car will just turn itself off while in motion. Most recently while making a turn. Needless to say this is very unsettling and I am concerned it could lead to an accident due to loss of power and or control. I have turned off the start/stop feature. My gas is fine, I've gone so far as to have it checked. This is a random event as I am unable to recreate the circumstances surrounding the issue. If anyone has seen this behavior I would like to hear how they were able to resolve it.

What year, model, and engine do you have? Start /stop will not be activated when driving unless you have a mild hybrid (rare vehicle)

Since it looks like you are from the US , what octane fuel are you running and what if any codes are in the computer. Also are there any messages on the dash?

 

It appears that the problem has gone away.

 

I have had the same problem Now on three separate occasions. the car has turned off while I was rolling to a stop. I get a display light that says to continue select gear, but everything is locked up with my transmission. I need to turn off the power completely and shut down the car and then I can restart the car and it’s fine. I have noticed a little bit of a rough idle. After
the first time i took it to the Land Rover dealer and they said I had a loose wire on my battery and they ran a software update for my transmission. Six days later it happened again and a week later it happened again. I’m waiting to take the car in again. In the past of I have had issues with the start stop Feature and I now whenever I start my vehicle I automatically turn off the stop start feature. This is a totally separate different issue.

I am also facing the same problem my vehicle (SE model) gets switched off entirely even the start/stop option is disabled
I was been informed by the mechanic that it may be fault due to the sensor ...I am replacing it now in the workshop and once the work is completed i will keep you informed if the issue gets resolved
Also i am facing an engine RPM acceleration issue during each time restart of the engine ..Any one facing the similar issue
