I ended up doing this in the end. Just took some patience feeding it through.

Default Belt isn't going on...

I can't seem to make the belt fit. Maybe I'm using a wrong pulley? I was really hoping to fire her up tonight. Can I start it up to check for correct wiring without routing the belt?

Default Alternative Belt Routing

Anyone think this routing would be a problem? I replaced the GM idler (turquise), with the rover idler, removed the rover original tensioner pulley (yellow), and replaced the rover tensioner pulley with the rover idler (blue). It fit perfectly, like a normal belt would. I'm just wondering if there are any consequences for this routing that I'm not realising.

* This routing didn't workout due to a lack of grip on the water pump and caused a lot of squealing. I ended up getting a longer belt 100.5" and adding back the GM tensioner in the yellow area. Fit is tight, but doable.

If you change it too much, in my experience, it will squeal when cold. The easiest way to get the belt on with this setup to me is what is described in the belt routing guide. Have a friend hold the tensioner and at the same time pull the belt up over the alternator.

Would not recommend starting until you get all the wiring and intake complete.

Which wires on the ecb box correspond to what? Are they all the same? There's nothing in the manual, or on the wires that discusses this...

It's definitely in the manual. I think twice. Once in a diagram and once in directions. Make sure you have all PDFs downloaded.

It names them twice (once in the general manual and then in the dashboard sub assembly), but there is no label or mention of corresponding colors. It must mean that they're all the same, right?

That is incorrect. The colors need to coordinate with specific locations.

Edit: there's a sheet that came with the kit that color codes the wires. If you don't have it I'll reference it when I get home from work.

There should be a piece of paper that came in the box with the kit that tells you what color is what. It varies based on what version/revision of the kit you have. If you can’t find the paper, then email ACE and they can tell you based on your order.
