Default ACE instructions left me hanging

Hello all. I am getting close after a 5 year hiatus but ran into a snag following ACE's instructions for running two extra wires going through the firewall and coming out about 2 feet. The instructions do not say what these are used for. There is a chance I lost part of the instructions in the past years. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I did not do the ACE kit, but I do know that one wire should be for the check engine light. DM me and I can send a picture I have from the ACE stuff.

Anybody in here use a modified factory harness? I modified the one that I got out of the donor truck. I need 12v power keyed position two or run and cranking to go to an external added fuse block for my injector and coil power. Thanks in advance.

Why not use the factory feed to the injectors? I used a factory harness, and I kept the LR harness. Just use the injector power wire from the Land Rover side.

Thats a great idea and in hindsight I would but I have already stripped out my LR harness and it's all loomed and connected. Lesson learned for my next one. Thanks for the response.

Check the alternator excitor wire. Ensure it has power while cranking (I believe it should). It should also be switched power. If those two things are true, use it to drive a relay. The low, switched side of a relay requires minimal amperage, and you can fuse the switched side for injectors.

Thanks Mike, this is pretty much what I did. I used it for the power source for my other modded LS swap fuse/relay box that I had laying around. Wanted to use this because I am running dual electric fans. Hopefully have it fired up within a week. Appreciate the help.

Mike or anyone else who might know. I have lost my switched/cranking power to the engine fuse panel. I have checked over all of my work, confirmed continuity, etc. and now believe that the ecm is preventing the main relay coil from grounding allowing power path to the fuse block. Picture below from another post of where I lost my power which I had until I wired up my LS satellite fuse/relay panel which should not have anything to do with it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also have the M and S lights on the dash flashing and unable to communicate with the Rover ECM

Found the issue. I didn’t have the brown BCM connector pushed all the way in.

Default 8l90e Erod transmission to 4.0l v8

It’s almost been one year since the first video was posted and I just wanted to say thank you for all the support, especially from this forum. I know it has been a slow and long road. Bringing this project from a prototype to a kit has been a sizable effort, amongst the trials and tribulations, but the newest kits are markedly improved over the first prototype.

The latest kits improvements from over a year ago include: 0.25 inch shorter drivetrain length, redesigned motor mounts, and new electrical conversion box. These improvements have made the install a lot easier and the overall setup much cleaner.

More kits are on the way.
What electrical conversion kits are there? Im looking to do a halfway swap since my 4hp22 is not doing well and I want to do a 6.2l swap in the future, so for now I'm looking to swap a GM 8l90e into my discovery 1 and ride it until the engine gives out and then spring for the lt1 erod system.

A local shop quoted me $1500 for the labor but I'll need to bring them the electrical component to make the transmission pair to the ECU. I know i could do it myself but theyre saying I can pick it up next day and for that price, im in and I'll just continue going to work
