Here We Go Again, My LSX Swap Thread
Thanks for all the support! Please keep thinking happy thoughts, this Rover, as with any 15 plus year-old vehicle that gets driven a lot, will require all the TLC and maintenance that goes with it. All my vehicles are "works in progress". I didn't invent this phrase but I use it a lot.........
"You never actually finish restoring an old car, you just quit working on it."
I'll see what I can do about that video, you know some of us old farts haven't quite got the hang of this new inter-web and tech that goes with it.

You asked for pictures, so here you go.
New B&M Shifter installed and working.
It's amazing to see the difference between an all steel heavy duty shifter and the plastic mess from the factory. When I removed the stock unit, it came out in multiple broken pieces, no way it was going back in.
I think I have the AC hoses straightened out. I will drive it this week to make sure nothing gets broken or destroyed from engine heat. Then put the Freon back in it if all is well, probably Friday.

The last one shows what happens when DA drivers back into your Rover in a parking lot! A $100 HID light smashed and the bulb blown. I didn't know it even happened until I found the light not working... looked at the housing and found it was crushed.
The middle picture is a shot of rats nest of AC, Heater and Transmission hoses. There is still room to work on them!
Also, pulled a nice vacuum quickly, so no leaks in AC system.
I think the after-market shifter turned out really good. It is very solid and now I can shift all the way down to 1st gear.

When you're right, you're RIGHT!! That picture doesn't do it justice, but it is some kind of a wanna-be drag racer setup, belongs in a '65 Dodge Dart drag car with 24" wide back tires and skinney's up front.
