Default Swap Engine and Trans being attached

It’s been awhile since I’ve been on here so hello again, I still have my 2000 disco and I have bought another engine with the trans together, is it possible or could it be easier to swap them out being attached or would I be better to take them apart? Thanks guys for all the knowledge over the years.

It can be faster to do it as one part but it is also harder to manage (and nearly impossible without a load leveler). I say to give it a try with them attached and see how it works out. Just keep an eye out for things hitting/rubbing and don't get any awkward loads on your cherry picker (too far out or too far to the sides). If it's too cumbersome, pull them apart and do them one at a time.
