i'm looking at getting a disco 2 and i was wondering if anyone has done an engine/trans swap for something else?

i was thinking of swapping out the stock engine/trans for a chevy 4.8L with a 4L60E 4x4 trans. i know there's going to be alot of custom work to be done. my main concern is the driveshaft lengths. the wire harness for the engine and trans won't be that hard to do. same with fabbing up some mounting brackets for the engine and trans.

and i don't live in an area with inspections so i'm not worried about that.

the 4.8L V8 is LS based and has 302HP/305LBS (stock 03+ w/ elec. cooling fan) torque for the model i'm looking at using.
