Default DIY section

I am new here, so please take this with a grain of salt. I have noticed that the Discovery forum has a lot of "stickys". I am a member at another forum that has a side column with a DIY section. Great write-ups can always be found there without the need for all the stickys at the top of the 1st forum page.
Or perhaps there could be a consolidation that put alot of the permanent stickys in one post.
Just a thought,
Bob
