Default Open Circuit? Bad Starter? clueless!

Sirs, My 2000 D2 was running fine this morning, I started it up drove to my destination and back, drove in to my drive way and put it in park while it was still moving forward a little. Went to start it back up immediately and nothing. All dash lights come on, I tried jumping it 3 times to no avail, could my starter have gone out that quickly, I hear no clicking when I turn the key, battery appears to have good strength, and is only about 8 months old. Its almost as if the circuit is not complete and juice is not getting to my starter. Any suggestions for a starting point would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

A wiring diagram and a mutimeter is a good place to start if you know how to use them.

You should also check your fuses and other circuit protection devices. Ensure battery cable tight and have a good connection.

Starters/circuits sometimes go out just like that.

Pulled every fuse under dash and under hood , traced all wires from starter to battery, no loose connectors or wires, I'm leaning towards a starter issue, wouldn't I get that tale-tale click when I turned over the key if were the starter? Battery is good. Thanks again and I apologize for my mechanical ignorance but you guys are my only reliable source of sharp shooting this thing.
