Default 03 Freelander After market audio

I just recently purchased an 03 Freelander and went to an audio store to ask about after market equipment to upgrade. They told me there are no after-market equipment out there for freelander's. Has anyone ran into this problem? Can anyone give some advice on where I can find wiring harness or decks that can work for my car??

I don't know what store you went to but they don't know what they're talking about. The Freelander uses a single DIN size deck/head unit which is the most common size on the market so pick whatever you please (just beware in dash DVD players as some are too deep). As for the wiring harness it should be listed as a Volkswagen harness adapter. I've done 2 setups in my '02 and the results are awesome, like a concert hall on wheels. Big piece of advice for you though, replace the 6.5" door speakers when you put in the new deck. I love Harmon Kardon as much as they next guy but you just can't drive them that hard. ANY other questions please ask and I'd be happy to tell you everything I can.
