I’m contemplating an engine conversion in my 05 Freelander. I’d like to drop in a small block chevy but haven’t been able to find any information on swaps for Freelander’s. I’ve found info for rangers, discos and a couple others but not Freelander. Does anyone have experience with this kind of swap or know of an outlet for information to do it?

 

Trying to do the same thing as you right now but I’m fresh out of resources on if it will work. Ideally a 3800 out of a Buick is a bulletproof engine perfect for this vehicle. For what I’ve seen there are a few Toyota 4cyl & Honda k engine swaps of these vehicles that are way better documented and seem to work. That’s my reccomendation. However it has been 4 years so I’m curious to know if you ever went through with this. Best of luck
