2002 Freelander SE
I recently purchased a 2002 Freelander SE, with only 65,000 ,miles.
After only one week and less than 1000 miles, the rear differential & rear drive axle had to be replaced. I had traded an older Ford Explorer which had NEVER left me stranded on the road side! Hopefully, it is NOT a lemon! Thankfully, it was covered under the dealerships used car warranty!

PS ...Odd that I smelled an odd odor during this time period. Almost like a sulfur smell or asphalt smell. Assuming it is axle grease which had sprayed all over the rear end of the the car! Still smell it and hoping it is still just burning off.
