Hi all,
I am new to the forum, just joined today. I am experiencing a pretty tedious problem with my Land Rover Freelander. When I start the engine it doesn't give me no problems what's so ever.
However once I change the gear and press the gas, the engine knocks as if it has lost power. If I put it on free and press the gas pedal to the maximum once again, a lot of dark smoke (dark gray not light gray) comes out of the silencer and a lot of vibration comes from the front. However if I drive and put it on higher gears, the problem temporarily stops. A friend told me it could be an issue with the oil. I have always used the same oil type for the engine and replace it when I give it a service.
Any ideas guys??
Many thanks
