I am new to the forum and just bought a freelander a few months ago....I love the car but need to change the timing belt...and cam belts...it's the 2.5l v6...the shops in my area do not want to do it...and the nearest Rover shop wants $2500....I know it requires a special tool kit but that is only $100... Atlantic British a Rover parts company did have a video about replacing the freelander timing belt...but they seem to have removed the video....I bought a PDF manual but it had nothing about the belts....there is a shop manual for $180....but I don't know if it has the timing belt procedure...if anyone has a video or written instructions I am willing to pay for them...thanks...Ron

 

 

I think if I had some good written instructions to go with the video I could successfully do the timing belt change....but it does worry me some that even many shops are reluctant to do it
