Default 235/55/17 yes or no?

anyone ever run this size? my friend is searching for winter tires for his freelander and sizes are limited. He is running a 215/60/17 a/s now and it looks like he can afford the difference in aspect ratio. I'm only concerned with back spacing and its effect on component clearance. he is running factory alloys, on an '04 freelander. Thanks for the help guys, I'm a disco man myself, so any help from the freelander community would be appreciated. Cheers!

I have the SE3 and the standard size is 225/55-17. I put Firestone Winterforce snows on it and am very happy with the results.
