hi, i'm new to the forum and have been drawn to the land rover models lately. it just came my notice that the diesel engine (2.2) adopted by the freelander2 looks superior to that one for the defender (2.4) in virtually every aspect, at least on paper. does anyone know why the defender is not using the 2.2 diesel? i've also posted this question on the defender forum.
