Default differential

im not too familier with the freelander drivetrain.
is there a differential or something within the system?
is there a way to change the gear ratio in either the tranny or the diff?
how about adding a locker or a ls?
is there another way to make up for a change in tire size?
thanks

there is a company, i think,m www.dap-inc.com makes a 2" lift for freelanders, (bigger tires) the gear ratio is 3.66:1 in the differentials. i assume they can be changed in the rear since it is a diff, however, i think the front is a transaxle, i'll check into it though
